3 Things To Watch Out for as a Minister In Songs!

For many years now, aside my teaching ministry, one of my ministries that is always very impacting is in song ministrations!

Don't get me wrong, I am no master in the art but somehow, by grace each time I really minister in songs, many are blessed and the feed back is amazing!

Now this post isn't about me but about few things that every minister in songs should watch out for! No doubt, fame can be exciting, its a great feeling when many recognize and appreciate your talent but unfortunately its this same feelings that have brought many great talents down to nothing!

Please understand this, its important to note that any service not acceptable by God even when seemingly acceptable by men is never profitable! also understand that there is only one minster is this forever, its not the pulpit ministry cause it will end when jesus comes, but the minstry of  praise and worship will continue! it has been before creation and will still continue even after the end of this world! so its a priviledge to be a part of it.

Quickly, three things that we must watch out for;
In John 4:23; Christ admonishes us to "Worship" in Spirit and Truth. I have found out that these are really vital in our ministry. I am sure any minister out there would angry with me that if your songs don't carry the Holy Ghost , they are just empty words that sounds nice and entertaining, it holds no lasting impact!

1. Watch out for the Spirit.
This is you singing and the holy ghost ministering, He is in the atmosphere and everyone feels his impact! This is ministering and not entertainment!

2. Watch out for the Truth.
Many do not actually know worshiping with one of these makes your worship incomplete -We are told to worship in spirit and truth!
Worshiping in truth means serving in sincerity -not deceiving yourself while at it! Be sure to be living what you're singing!

3. Watch out for Pride.
Many allow fame get in their head and all of sudden they are thinking they are the biggest in town, you can't talk to them or give them advice anymore. They only minister when they feel like it! This is one thing you should actually really be careful for, the quickest way to the top and down is pride!

Your greatness is certain as you continue to minister in spirit and truth as well as in humility!

Please share if you liked this post, God bless you!
