Past Mistakes; Make Them Your Guiding Laws|My Flaws My Laws
Welcome back, I hope you have been enlightened through this segment; My Flaws My Laws.
From another perspective, let's look at the definition of mistakes;
Mistakes are the four walls of which lifes' lesson are learnt from. It teaches us different ways of avoiding errors in the future, and at the end gives us a result of success when we learn from them.
It also shows the zeal and spirit of a trying nature of a person who is ready to make a difference despite his or her past failures at different stage.
The act of trying not to make mistakes can become a decision or an action that we come to regret.
As it will not only stump our growth, it also goes to deny us of any breakthrough.
Common, think about it, it's common sense, it's no scientific discovery, two words make up the word breakthrough: BREAK & THROUGH.
Forgive my language here, but I believe before you go THROUGH a wall or a locked door, there must be a BREAKING!
One shocking thing about mistakes is that they are almost inevitable.
Here are some mind teasing questions;
How many times have you made a mistake on a certain act and made corrections? What are your worse mistakes in life?
Do you regret making them?
Do you run away from your mistakes or learn from them and make amend?.
Here is something you should know;
"A Leader has to be responsible and accountable for his or her mistakes" Fred Sievert.
"The worse thing you can do is begin to point fingers at every body else. You've gat to take responsibility".
Also Andrés Navarro says, "if an organization is able to admit mistakes, it's encouraging creativity and encouraging people to take risks.
Making reference to the Holy Bible passage James 3:2 " We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check"
From the Holy Bible, 31 verses talks about making mistakes, 21 verses about mistakes and forgiveness and 25 encouraging verses talking about learning from mistakes ...
If the highest book of wisdom could hold much value for such an opportunity we despice so much, then we should know how priviledged we are to have such an opportunity.
Nobody is encouraging deliberate mistakes, you are not been asked to go out there and try making a mistake with every opportunity that comes your way, we are simply asking you to learn from it and get over it if you do make some along the way, or rather, make them your guiding laws!
