Crossing The Line!

If you are frequent reader of our posts here, i am very sure you must have head me say that "Every change is a function of decisions"! There are no two ways about it, change doesn't happen except there is a decision taken
Physics supports this, a body remains constant until an external force acts on it...
God in Exodus asked Moses to tell the people to move forward, they had forgotten the goal, so they became complacent.
Believe it dear friends... Every change is a function of decision!
What is the Line?
A very wise man John C. Maxwell once said, that one day with anyone is enough to for him to find out if that person will be successful or not..
Well with me, I think it's official... You can't spend a day with me and not be inspired, you can't spend a week with me and not discover yourself!
But the truth is, it wasn't always like this! I had challenges finding out who I was and what I was purposed to do by God at one time in my life.... Until I discovered this.. Abuse was inevitable!

What is the line... The line is that point/time you make that discovering... The point where you can introduce yourself when someone asks without you stuttering.
Like.... Hi, I am Pst Ben Inegbe, a minister, author, recording artist, startup-entrepreneur and a passionate enforcer of all that Christ sacrificed on the cross! (Simple and concise)
Have you tried introducing yourself to someone lately, how do you introduce yourself?
Well, some would say I am a student.. There is really not much about me, nothing special!
I didn't go to school, I have got no formal education, nothing really special here!
I just graduated, waiting for my NYSC or whatever program comes next in your country, no job yet, so nothing special about me... Hey, who told you?
What is stopping you from being a student and an employer of Labor? Hey, are you not reading this right now! What is stopping you from leaving your dreams while you wait?
You see, over the years we have been lied to, by the government, by some of our parents, and those who were in position to set us straight.. They all lied to us....
It's the consequences of those lies that the country is suffering today!
Nobody told us, you could actually be running your company while in school...
We were not encouraged to leave out our dreams even before and while still in school...
We are told to put everything on hold so we can get a piece of paper that at the end of the day becomes virtually useless if you don't have people that are highly placed!
Those that rebelled and pursued their dreams where criticized and today they are the ones driving our economy! Lies, lies, lies and lies!
Oh, did I say going to school is not good, No! I didn't.... Understand that it's a requirement but not a prerequisite to success! There should be a reason to be in school not because everyone is doing it!
Success actually begins with you discovering yourself and purpose then taking steps to achieve it.. Education might be one of the tools, or it may not be a priority yet to achieving these dreams..
What I am saying?
According to the National Bureau of statistics.. As at July 2016 the unemployment rate stands at 13.3 per cent the highest since 2006. The labor force stands at 79.9 per cent...(Nigeria)
THIS SHOULD GIVE YOU ENOUGH REASON TO CROSS THE LINE!
Remember, the line is the discovery of what you want to do with your life!
A wise man said, don't just wish make a move! It's the move that makes the difference!
Take it from a small boy who is currently sitting on the executive table of 3 thriving companies... Until you dare cross the line by making a move in the direction of your dreams... You will remain a joke to your peers!
It's been Nine months since finally I relocated to Benin with virtually nothing, only a house to lay my head... It was a move I dared to make... I dared to cross the line of sentimental believes and what will people say... Before now, with all the knowledge and charisma, buying recharge cards was a huge deal.
I had little or no promising contacts (people you inspire to be like, people who can actually help promote your dreams to a reality)... But today the case is far much different because of the singular act of Making a move!
In the process of recruiting arts for our beloved B&A, there is a question I always ask the artist....
DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTIONS APART FROM THIS?
Somebody will say why that question...
Well understand that, until you eliminate every distraction and other options surrounding something you are passionate about, it becomes just a hobby that may never pay the bills!
You have to be resolutely committed to that dream, else just like every dream not written down it will soon be forgotten!
A writer puts it this way *Break away from everything that stands in the way of what you hope to accomplish with your life*
On a recent eBook by my dear friend Dr. Talle he puts it this way *Be bold, soft as a lamb yet bold as a lion especially when it comes to living your dreams. Your potentials of exploits can only be released on the platform of confidence.*
Why cross the line? So that your star can become a SuperStar for others to see with!
Believe it dear friends... Nothing happens until something first happens!
Why you should not cross the line
When by privilege I am invited to speak in meetings these days especially in school environment.. I tell them...
What this country needs today is not more graduates...the country already has more than it can handle..
What the country needs is not more houses, schools or roads... The ones we already have we can't even maintain!
The country is in need of more entrepreneurs... People who are ready to actually do what it will take to become an employer of Labor!
People ready to cross the line just to make something of themselves thereby making the economy great!
So you most definitely not cross the line if you are not in these categories...
If you are the type whose dream is just a Hobby you should most definitely not cross the line...
If you are not tired of the state of the country's and your own pocket's economy please do not cross the line!
If all you look forward to traveling out of the country in the hope that money are picked on the streets there, please no need trying to cross the line!
I will close with this... Mark Zuckerberg was recently in Nigeria, strolling on the streets with just jeans and just a shirt... Many came out to celebrate him! Good thing right?
But Do you know the Line he had to cross to place him in that position today?
Did you see that being successful is far from how nicely dressed or eloquently you speak?
Hey guys.... Find those lines that have been limiting your vision till now and I dare you to cross them!!!
