THE MIND; HOW IT WORKS!


Often we hear that if we can set our minds to it, we can achieve it, if we can dream it, we can live it!

 Again and again we hear testimonies of many who began their journey to success by first having a dream and setting their minds to achieve it!

 Its no wonder the bible says to guide our heart with all diligence, for out of it springs the issues of life! It all begins from your mind!

 A minister I love and respect so much once said in one of his messages "if you can't change a man's thinking(mind-set), you can't change his state and thereby can not change his estate!"
  What this simply means is that, we can get big if only we can start thinking big!

 But this write-up today isn't really about our thoughts or mind-sets! I want to quickly bring to our notice an important factor while on the subjects of THOUGHTS.

 Please understand that our Dreams are simply  mental pictures of our future! If this is true, it therefore means the state of our minds at all times matters a lot! 

Obviously, our thoughts plays a vita role in constructing our personality and our future(life).
 So please get this;
A CORRUPT MIND IS A CORRUPT FUTURE! 
This is why you can't afford to continue to ponder on things that are not fruitful!

Diary Of A City Girl In The Village Episode IV

8pm Ha! Can't believe the trouble I had to go through just to cook myself something to eat, setting up a place to cook wasn't easy, the house where I got an accommodation is made up of six rooms with a long hall separating them, making it three rooms on each sides with no kitchen, it was like I was back to school again, only that this time it was very different. Back then at school, the houses were pretty, more comfy and it smelled better, plus I didn't really live in one of those houses I just visited some friends there. After much debate, I finally decided to set up my kitchen just outside my door, this meant I had to keep an eye on it not because I didn't want the food getting burnt but because I don't have much trust for anyone here yet, it's better safe than sorry! Back home, though I still complained about cooking but we pretty much had it easy! Too easy! You pretty much cooked and ate, slept at the same place. Life in the city is a distinct contrast

March 4th 2016 Dear diary, this is my second day here now and so far, it's been crazy! Came back late yesterday as I feared, turns out the bank was way off this Village! I was able to get some stuffs, even though they were not really up to my taste, I guess I will make do with what I have! I finally put a call through to my family, I called Lekan first, I could barely hear him, but he sounded angry, something about why I didn't tell him about my trip, I guess he called home and they told him about it... Awww, whatever! Mom was happy to finally hear from me, she kept asking "omo mi (my child) are you alright, are you safe, what are you eating, how are you coping?. ..  So many questions, I could barely say anything, when she finally gave me a chance to speak, I just told her I was ok, that she shouldn't worry about me.
