KILL IT BEFORE IT DESTROYS YOU! #PRIDE


I know there is a statement about getting people to respect you rather than love you, but some how, many have taken this as a yardstick to push their ideas and philosophies down people's throat!

Because of their quest for gaining people's respect, many have gradually drifted into being ego maniacs and proud! The sad news is these are all signs that gradually leads to destruction!

Pride takes you up, as a matter of fact it can take you to the topmost top but the problem is, it doesn't have the ability to suspend you up there long enough!

The pains you feel or injuries you incur when you fall is determined by how high you where before you fell! Unfortunately for many they fail to understand that the fall of a proud man incurs very deep injuries!

This post is to remind you that HUMILITY remains a vital key that takes a man to the topmost top and keeps them there!

Saul in the bible became proud and he lost it all, you see, when you loose out because of pride, it doesn't just affect you, it affects your generations to come!

God "resists" the proud but gives more grace to the humble. May God never resist you, because if He does, You won't go far in life!

Kill that spirit of pride now before it closes all your doors! I see God backing you up as you begin to humble yourself before God and men!

PRIDE; A feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's own achievements, the achievements of one's close associates, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired.

Diary Of A City Girl In The Village Episode IV

8pm Ha! Can't believe the trouble I had to go through just to cook myself something to eat, setting up a place to cook wasn't easy, the house where I got an accommodation is made up of six rooms with a long hall separating them, making it three rooms on each sides with no kitchen, it was like I was back to school again, only that this time it was very different. Back then at school, the houses were pretty, more comfy and it smelled better, plus I didn't really live in one of those houses I just visited some friends there. After much debate, I finally decided to set up my kitchen just outside my door, this meant I had to keep an eye on it not because I didn't want the food getting burnt but because I don't have much trust for anyone here yet, it's better safe than sorry! March 4th 2016 Dear diary, this is my second day here now and so far, it's been crazy! Came back late yesterday as I feared, turns out the bank was way off this Village! I was able to get some stuffs, even though they were not really up to my taste, I guess I will make do with what I have! I finally put a call through to my family, I called Lekan first, I could barely hear him, but he sounded angry, something about why I didn't tell him about my trip, I guess he called home and they told him about it...
