NOT IN THE NAME!
Its such a nice feeling when we bear the same name with those who have become great and are well recognized!
The confidence is even more when those names means to be a success, a winner, wealthy or as the case may be, its a good thing but the reality is, it doesn't change anything!
Now am not disputing the fact that one need to be careful of the kind of name they bear as it might to an extent have some effect on one's life. Of course what you are called in a way it says one or two things about you, as we have the story of a man in 1 chron. 4:9 whose name meant sorrow, because that was the situation he was given birth in, we also understand the name had given him problems, though he was honorable than his brethren, his life didn't look like it!
So, I pretty much understand what effect a name can have on a personality, but what I want to point out here is simple, what ever name you bear will not make you what it means until you make it so!
Don't know if you get it but you. should really try, I am privileged to have the same name with one of the most anointed ministers that have ever worked the face of the earth, he was the first of his kind in his continent, but I tell you something, it hasn't had any effect on my life, who ever am today and where I am today is by grace and "self will"! You see that man Jabez finally woke up and realized his name was given him problems and that he needed a change, if only he had done something about it earlier,
You could be named success, and sleep all day with no plan for your future, you will still end up a failure! You could be named Champion, but go to a competition without preparation, you'll come back a loser! You could bear jesus either and it wouldn't still change anything! You see It isn't in the name, its in you!
It is good to be confident, but let it be on your abilities and not on your name! Sweet and meaningful names are good but don't forget its just a name until you make it answer to its meaning!
When you mention Jesus Christ, mountains are moved and chains are broken because the name has a backing and also the one who is called by that name paid the ultimate price for it to carry that much weight! You want your name to have weight? One that when people hear they want what the person who bears has? Then start paying the price and doing what it will take for you to really answer to your name!
