SHOULD VALUE BE PLACED ON THE PRICE OR THE QUALITY OF A PRODUCT!

We can complain all day about how wrong this administration has gone, but the reality is, whatever is going wrong with this administration today did not start with  this administration! These are the summation of the wrongs caused by past administrations!

I am no politician, i don't belong to any party but i do love my country and i believe if this country will be made whole again and be where we all desire it to be, then we must realize its a change that cant be caused by one man or one administration, it must be a joint effort from a united people with one mindset of causing change!

The so called economic crises the country is in today was not caused by just any administration per say but by Nigerians themselves and by Nigerians i mean politicians down to the masses!
When you have a country with natural resources but depend too much on imported goods and services, that country can never escape the stage we are in now!

Lets not go too far, lets keep it simple so we can all understand what i am saying...
This question we should really ask ourselves; SHOULD VALUE BE ON THE PRICE OR THE QUALITY OF A PRODUCT? You see, as simple as it might sound, this is one hard core cause of the crises in the country today!
Because right now in the country there is common phenomenon that when a product is cheap it means its fake! So right now, any product with a price tag, which are mostly Nigerian products that is seemingly too affordable, we readily look over them assuming they are of a low quality.

This belief has so much gotten into our system that we have totally ignored Nigerian products to the extent of going for products of even lesser quality just because their price tag is more robust and they bear the name of some foreign country, believe it or not, there are now specially made products for Nigeria by foreign countries!

As i write this now, I have some of these so called foreign wears in my house that were only won once before they went bad, and these were bought at a very high price!
Don't get me wrong, I know this is not totally our fault because I believe at some time we have all purchased some Nigerian products that were really not of good quality, but lets not forget this is not a developed country, its trying to be and we are not even close, and again these so-called product of good quality from foreign countries did not become solid products at their first or second production, they gradually became better through feed back from customers, so there was a time these products were not up to standard!

The reality is , the more we don't patronize Nigerian products the more they will continue to be of low quality, because without patronage, they can't get feed back to improve on their products!
Another reality is, while there maybe Nigerian products in the market that are of a low quality there are also other products out there that are of high quality, this is not a new thing, its conversant with different nations of the world, where there is an original, there will certainly be a fake!

If this blessed country must get to the place God desires it to be, a place we all wish to be, everyone must play their part! Lets start from the grass root, we must begin to ask ourselves some simple questions as these;

  • Is it really necessary to buy a pair of foreign shoes worth $100-$200 when you can get one of same quality, if not even more durable for just N5000 if not less.
  • Was it foreign rice your forefathers ate that made them lived up to about 130 years?
  • Does wearing Nigerian or African made cloths of high quality make you any less rich or smart?
These are some provoking questions we must begin to ask ourselves and be ready to sincerely answer them!

Its good that the government are doing more to invest more on the agricultural sector of the country, but how many of them at end of the day eats Nigerian rice for example, even when the farmers are going on a large scale production, without a hungry demand to meet their supply the country will still continue to suffer same dilemma over and over again!

Like i said before, i have little or no knowledge on political matters, and also maybe some what ignorant of the hard core reasons for the present state of the country but from where i stand and from what i can see, i believe buying more Naija and less dependence on foreign products is a good start to improving the state of our dear mother Land!

Nigeria is blessed its high time we stopped living as beggars who are at the mercy of givers
, this is strictly my opinion, God blessed you, God bless Nigeria!
